Teesside Weighs In With Mazda Scholarship

The motorsport scholarship programs are coming thick and fast this year as financial constraints continue to squeeze the sport. These low-entry-fee/big-prize programs are often made into a lottery by the sheer numbers of ambitious drivers looking to score big, the majority of entrants having little or no race craft or racing experience. On the other hand, they are a valuable and necessary mechanism that allows teams and organisations with a wide consumer base or good PR machine to generate essential revenue for the season.

For those already involved in the sport, scholarships should normally be approached with the view of 'at worst it'll be good day out'. The cavaet to this is that often these programs come at a premium.

Not the case with Teesside Autodrome. The Race Drivers Inc. inbox was last night blessed with a very interesting email from the organisers of the very successful EPEC Championship and the new NKA Elite League.

Read the following carefully. At worst you'll have a very well priced day out, possibly learning something about racing along the way.

At best, you'll find yourself with a racing licence and taking part in the MX5 Championship.

Teesside Autodrome Race School is launching a great racing opportunity to all our previous customers to take part in a full days Motor Racing Course and Scholarship, which includes:

•     9am arrival with breakfast bun with Tea/Coffee on arrival
•     2 Seminars – Car race driving, handling & Techniques
•     2 Sessions driving a Sports Saloon – putting into practice the lessons learnt under the guidance of an S class instructor.
•     15 mins karting practice/qualifying session followed by a 15 mins race in our Twin Engine Pro-Karts.
•     5pm De-brief and Prize giving.

The highest scoring driver on the day will be invited back FOC to take part in the final
